Terms of Service
Last updated June 28, 2026
These terms govern your access to and use of Cran. By using the service you agree to them. If you’re agreeing on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
1. The service
Cran is an AI control plane — an OpenAI-compatible gateway with model benchmarking, routing, and governance. The service is currently in beta; features may change, and availability isn’t guaranteed.
2. Access & accounts
Access is invite-only. You must be at least 18, provide accurate information, and keep your credentials and connection tokens secure. You’re responsible for all activity under your account and tokens.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Cran to break the law or infringe others’ rights;
- submit content you don’t have the rights to, or that violates a model provider’s policies;
- attack, overload, probe, or attempt to bypass the security or access controls of the service;
- reverse-engineer or resell the service except as expressly permitted.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of your prompts, outputs, code metadata, and configurations (“Your Content”). You grant Cran a limited license to process Your Content solely to provide and improve the service. You represent that you have the rights to submit it and that it complies with applicable provider terms.
5. Model providers
Routing transmits Your Content to the provider you select to fulfill the request; that provider’s terms and acceptable-use policies apply, and you’re responsible for complying with them. We are not responsible for provider outages, changes, or charges.
6. Fees
Beta access is currently free. Paid plans are billed as described on the pricing page; during beta, billing is handled manually. Fees and plans may change with reasonable notice.
7. Beta & disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. It may contain bugs, experience downtime, or change. Benchmarks and routing recommendations are informational — validate them before making production decisions.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cran is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for provider outages or charges. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before the claim (or, during beta, a nominal amount).
9. Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your data at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or to protect the service or other users.
10. Changes
We may update these terms; we’ll update the date above and, for material changes, notify you where appropriate. Continued use after an update means you accept it.
